The EG1st Announcements.....

24 comments:

  1. Will any family members (son, wives, etc.) be considered for Town Hall positions? Have these candidates made any statements or pledges regarding this issue? Are they really different than the clown Democrats and clown Republicans? Make such a pledge stating "NO" and you have my vote. Otherwise I stay home.

    1. Dear 8:36 PM:
If I am elected, none of my family members will be considered for any Town position
      Be well,
      Tom

    2. Anonymous 8:36, are you one to just stir the pot or have you been around for awhile? If you have been around for awhile you would know why Jack stepped down off of the ethics board.

    3. They should be, if qualified. Myself, Anthony Corellis and Dan Fiacco. were very well qualified. Although, we all have our difference now, we all in the beginning were to trying to go the best for the town.

Before being offered my current positions, I applied for two others positions, Purchasing Agent and GIS Coordinator, which I am most qualified for. To no avail. Both times Ginny O'Brien thought I was the most qualified candidate (not so much for Malone and Hart).

Just this year when Ms. Hart went out on maternity leave was known to many of the town employees and "elected officials", namely, Supervisor Langley, that 111 people were not considered as part of the county or state civil service. This should have been recognized by the Supervisor and his Director of Finance, considering she was the main human resource contact (note: this certification was not done in many years prior to this administration as well). These are rules stated right out in the legislative rule book for any government organization. For any of those "elected officials" or their deputies, Directors of Finance, this should have been known.

I will agree way too much of "who know" goes on. But, to elect someone who doesn't even have a clue about public policy and right vs. wrong is a disaster! I hope EG1st gets the BIG WIN. I and many others are spreading the word to vote for you guys. It's the only way to really get the things right in EG.

Life long resident, and I can say after accepting the job as the secretary of the DPW, I am disgusted to see how the town is taken advantage, not just by the crooked political parties, but the CSEA union.

And you can bet your bottom $, if you are elected I will share ALL I know about the Town of EG!

    4. The town is run like a halfway house for crooks and not very smart people. Nasty, I know. Sorry. But I am sick to death of the games and the out and out thievery .

  2. I believe that the EG1st slate has pledged to avoid nepotism and graft which has plagued the two recent administrations.

  3. This is good to hear. Thanks for answering my question. I'm tired of my tax $ going to support people - almost entire families in some instances - just because of who they may be related to.

    2. Hmmmm. If we sell the library, how are we then supposed to make it town hall. It's sold. You might want to think that one through a bit more.

    3. I don't believe the Town can sell the library. As you know - the library has its own budget which is voted on every year........then again maybe you don't know since the number of people who vote on the library budget is so low as to be pathetic. Just gets passed every year - this year by 2 to 1 and in the past has been a haven for retired friends of town hall, like Mrs. McCabe. Can't see any savings there.

  9. Gadfly, I don't think it's a good idea to post jokes like 9:25. Some people might believe them.

  10. Gagfly, the superviser has all the power and he dont need to answer to you about the money. It's all their, dont worry. You nuts just want to make him look bad but it aint gonna happen. He's in the job for as long as he wants. Let him do it. Bug off!

    1. the supervisor makes himself look bad enough on his own

    2. The Supervisor is partbof the town board, he is one vote - he does not have all of the power. The Supervisor's role is to answer to all of the resident who pay his salary, you are wrong again. Don has not made him look bad, Casino Langley publicly made a fool of himself all by himself. I stand correct, Gilbert has helped. It's amazing that $65,000 in conslting fees prived we have no clue what's going on with our fiances. We wwre just downgraded below junk bond status. Langleys only hope in November is people like you who have no grasp on reality are the only ones who vote .

  12. I'm convinced with that comment from Anony. at 12:01 pm stated, it proves that the election on 11/3 will be corrupted by certain individuals currently running this town into the ground with the WWTP. Better be checking the votes on 11/3/2015. We are voting for Jack, Tina, & Tom, NO doubts they ARE the best chance we have to clean up this corrupt town.

  13. Dear 12:01 PM:

If the money is all there why can't TWO respected accounting firms find it? Why has our credit rating gone from bad to worse? Why isn't there a halfway intelligent bookkeeping system? Why can't the simplest questions be answered?

    Bug that off please.

  14. It's clear that 12:01 p.m. is one of Langley's simpletons but the message is still disturbing. The claim that "the supervisor has all the power" and that he, as CFO of the town, doesn't have to answer to the taxpayers about the finances is way off base but what's most disturbing is that Langley clearly believes that too because repeated calls for accountability have gone unanswered and ignored. The notion that residents who are footing the bill "just want to make him look bad" is flat out infuriating and wrong. If this man wins in November, we will have a megalomaniac of epic proportions on our hands for the next four years. This is no joke, folks, and no one is laughing.
    Jack, Tina, Tom 2015!
